No, it’s not a ten-pin bowling activity or venue. BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi is Australia’s biggest skateboarding competition that’s held annually over a weekend each February in Bondi Park near Bondi Beach.
BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi is a celebration of skateboarding culture. It attracts local and international professional skateboarders to compete for a range of titles. You’ll be amazed at the aerial skills on display.
There are male and female events for juniors, masters and professionals, with heats held on the Saturday and the finals on Sunday. All riders are eligible to enter the ‘best trick’, ‘longest grind’, ‘open jam’ and ‘biggest air’ categories. There’s a big screen at the event so you won’t miss any of the highlights.
Tickets for specific category sessions or day passes can be bought via Oztix. Please note that it’s an alcohol and drug-free event. All bags are checked on entry and no open containers, glass objects or pets are allowed on site. It’s an event suitable for everyone over the age of 3, because children aren’t permitted to sit on your lap in the grandstand seating.
Bring some sun screen so you don’t get sunburnt in the hot February weather. And of course, Bondi Beach is just a short stroll away if you need to cool off.
