The Gabs Beer, Cider and Food Festival brings together the best brewers and cider makers from Australia and New Zealand for a one-day extravaganza.
You can sample unique beers from across the region that are brewed especially for this event. There’s sure to be something to suit every taste.
The event organisers give you a hand by marking each beer and cider brew with a traffic light system: green for ‘easy drinking’, yellow for ‘stepping up’ and red for ‘adventurous’. Best of all, you can sample lots of beers and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Sampling is the name of the game at GABS. Make sure you sample as many different brews as you can to make the most of this unique experience. 85ml taster glasses are available for any brew and you can buy five of them in one go. If you find one you like, and you want more of it, you can then step up to a 285ml glass.
You can also learn how to brew your own from the experts at GABS. There’s also live entertainment and plenty of food available and a disco. It’s a popular event with the day divided into two sessions. You can pre-book your tickets online (recommended) or take a chance and buy them there. It’s cheaper to buy them online though and you’ll avoid the risk of missing out. Group discounts are also available online.
