It is easy to see why; the harbour not only boasts of excellent family-friendly attractions, it also has superb dining offers and a vibrant entertainment scene for those looking for fun at the harbour.

As expected, there are lots of activities for you to enjoy at Darling Harbour. Treat yourself to retail therapy at Harbourside Shopping Centre. With renowned brands from popular stores such as Glue Store, YD and Cotton On, you can be sure to enjoy a great shopping experience. This, against the background of beautiful harbour views, is the perfect way to start your tour of Darling Harbour.

Let the kids expend some energy at the Darling Quarter Playground as you relax and unwind. This playground is popular with the little ones as it features a 21-metre flying fox, a climbing net for the adventurous as well as a water play area that provides respite from the summer heat. Grab a cup of coffee at any of the nearby restaurants and watch as the kids play. Entry to the playground is free.

What is better than a great dining experience along Cockle Bay wharf? This is the melting pot for all things culinary, and you can be sure to find breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. Visit Adria Bar and Restaurant or head to Blackbird Cafe for tasty treats. I’m Angus Steakhouse is perfect for meat lovers in need of some well-done sizzling steak.

After lunch, take some time to enjoy a ride on the Darling Harbour Carousel. This historic attraction is a fun activity for people of all ages and is one of the oldest of its kind. Other fun attractions at Darling Harbour include Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, as well as the Chinese Garden of Friendship.

Darling Harbour is within walking distance of the Sydney CBD.
