Sydney CBD

The Sydney CBD is the main commercial centre within the city. Due to its significance in the country’s early history, it is one of the most developed regions across Australia.

Geographically, it extends from Circular Quay to the Central Train Station in the northern and southern regions, respectively. In its east-west axis, the CBD’s boundaries include Hyde Park, the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens, and The Domain.

These features are all located on the scenic Sydney Harbour and the CBD, which then spans to Darling Harbour on the west. It is essential to mention that, for the most part, the term CBD does not exclusively refer to the business district only, but often includes inner-city suburbs such as Haymarket and Ultimo.

As expected, the city’s design is characterised by the skyscrapers that dominate the skyline. One of Sydney’s most amazing features is that even in the city’s heart, the CBD is split up by green pockets, such as the Royal Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park.

In addition to this, there are many cultural institutions, and it is easy to see why Sydney is a wonderful place to visit. With some of the most iconic structures on earth in the Sydney CBD, there are many things to see and do. Visit the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Take a ferry over the harbour and visit Taronga Zoo and Luna Park.

Make sure to check out the many cultural establishments located in the CBD, including the Museum of Sydney, Customs House, The Australian Museum, and the Powerhouse Museum. Art lovers are not forgotten, as The Museum of Contemporary Art is a short distance to the north of the CBD.

Sydney also has an eclectic cafe culture, with the addition of clubs and pubs, making it a most exciting way to explore the city. The Sydney CBD is a fantastic destination within the heart of the city.
