The Queer Screen film festival is one of the biggest LGBT film events in Australia, with the 15-day-long celebration aiming to raise awareness of sexual diversities and gender identities through queer film.
Taking place in February & March of 2024, the festival showcases films, shorts, and documentaries across a wide range of LGBTIQ angles.

Festival passes are available in bundles of 5 or 10, ideal for sharing with friends and family.
The 30th Mardi Gras Film Festival is planned to be the biggest year yet, curated by Queer Screen’s Festival Director Lisa Rose, who celebrates her 6th consecutive year directing the festival. Lisa and the Queer Screen festival team have been busy creating an out-of-this-world lineup full of compelling romances, hilarious comedies, insightful documentaries, riveting dramas and everything in between.
Do you have what it takes to publicly pitch your short film project with passion and conviction? Pitch Off offers Australian LGBTIQ+ filmmakers up to $10,000 of funding towards producing a short film (narrative, documentary or a stand-alone web series pilot) dealing with the experiences of people of diverse genders and sexualities.
