Blacktown City Medieval Fayre is an annual family festival that takes place over a weekend in May at the Nurragingy Reserve, and it makes up part of the massive Blacktown City Festival.
Once a year, attendees can step back in time to experience life during the historic medieval times.

Learn and get entertained at The Common, which will showcase a range of historical displays, demonstrations, and performances from medieval groups; such as the Normans, Vikings, Saxon, and Saracen. These attractions allow you to learn about these old cultures, as well as the arms and armour that they used.
The Field of Honour is where visitors can watch medieval forms of hand combat used during warriors of the time. Stroll through the Medieval Village to take a breather. Attractions for children include Circus Works, the Enviro Craft Children’s Workshop, and the Activity Tent. Here, kids can learn how to juggle balls, walk stilts, twirl things, and make their very own shields. Free pony and camel rides will be available for kids as well.
Throughout the weekend, there will be live music with performances by talented local acts at the Market Stage. Shop and dine at the Market Place which is filled with stalls featuring arts and crafts, food, drinks, jewellery, costumes, and various paraphernalia from medieval times.
On-site at Nurragingy Reserve, there will be a first-aid station, event information area, ATM machine, parking, toilets, and toilets for the disabled. Entrance is free, and Nurragingy Reserve is located at Knox Road in Doonside.
