The Mother’s Day Classic is a walk/run fun run held in Sydney in May and an important fundraising initiative that raises millions of dollars each year for breast cancer research.
The distances for the Mother’s Day Classic this year at The Domain within the Royal Botanic Garden are 5km and 10km – available in both a run and walk.
Mothers Day Classic Sydney 2024 Dates, Course Map, Parking & Times
The course will take participants past attractions, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Andrew Boyd Charlton pool and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
Runners are split into four self-seeded start groups, A, B, C, D, with “A” Group being the fastest and “D” being the slowest. It is recommended that slow runners, walkers and those participating with wheelchairs and prams assemble at the rear of their start group. Elite wheelchair participants should self-seed and assemble based on their expected speed.
If you have been touched by breast cancer, join a ‘Stronger Together’ time, when we will reflect on the strength of our MDC community (formerly named Survivor Wave).
