Bondi to Coogee Beach Coastal Walk

The Bondi to Coogee Beach Coastal Walk is one of the most famous trails in Sydney, and for a good reason.

Not only does it offer the best of sun, sand and sea, it also combines its spectacular coastal line with beautiful rockpools, enchanting parks and an array of exciting water activities.

This coastal walk spans 6 kilometres of nothing but scenic coastal paths on the fringes of Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The trail begins at the Bondi Icebergs Club Bistro; a chilled restaurant that offers excellent food with seaside views of the pristine Bondi Beach. Enjoy a relaxing meal as you power up to begin the coastal hike. Make sure you sample the famed seafood platter!

Take the steep set of stairs at the start of the walk where you get to appreciate the Aboriginal rock carvings. These carvings are located in Marks Park and provide a glimpse into the ways and traditions of one of Australia’s oldest people. The park is also one of the most elevated parts of the walk, providing panoramic views of the region.

Along the walk, you will also pass through Mackenzie’s Point Beach, which is in fact, one of the tiniest beaches in Sydney. While it is not ideal for swimming, it is a perfect spot to go surfing. Follow the trail to Bronte Beach, another pristine location along the iconic Bondi to Coogee Beach Coastal Walk.

While here, take the stairs next to the rock pool and head to the cliff top for magical views of Bronte and Bondi. Grab a quick lunch at any of the spots or unwind with a good book at any of the shaded areas. Past Bronte, the walk passes the historic Waverley Cemetery and onto Clovelly Beach – a famous snorkelling spot along the trail.

The scenic trail comes to an end at Coogee; a beautiful beach suburb with numerous attractions to see and enjoy. These include picnic areas, shaded spots and BBQ facilities.
