Olympic Park will once again host the supercharged Australian Badminton Open.

The tournament is a six-day intense competition that will invite players worldwide to compete for the ultimate prize or glory and total prize money of $420,000USD.

As the premier badminton tournament in Oceania, the Sathio Group Australian Badminton Open brings many of the best players from around the globe, including World & Olympic champions – each ready to wow fans all over again.

A statement about the new partnership with VICTOR as the equipment sponsor for the next four years was announced. They look forward to ongoing collaboration to deliver the best badminton event in Australia.

The Badminton championships have been held since 1975, and each year, more crowds are invited to watch this exciting game.

Many countries will be represented at the Australian Badminton Open, including Australia, China, England, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan. Many matches will be scheduled throughout the tournament, including Women’s and Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

There will be six days of competition, with Qualifying Rounds followed by Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and championship finals. Tickets can be purchased for each round of events. Still, as this is an elimination event, booking a ticket to see a particular player is impossible, as the schedule for the next day can only be announced the day before.

Getting There

So bring along your friends and family to the world-renowned Australian Badminton Open. Catch a train to the venue as Olympic Park station is on the T7 line. Change at Lidcombe station for services, leaving every 10 minutes.
