World Square

World Square is an expansive development located within Sydney’s CBD. It spans a whole city block and is a popular city landmark.

Bound by George, Pitt, Goulburn, and Liverpool Streets, World Square is popular with Sydneysiders because it features commercial offices, residential apartments, hotels, and a shopping centre.

The development site was originally home to a six-storey department store that opened in 1905. In the following years, the store was demolished before giving way to the present-day development. Today, this modern development is a must-visit when in Sydney.

Start by shopping at any of the popular brands on location, including Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, and Miniso—you will be spoiled for choice. Other fashion stores worth checking out include Jack London, Peter Alexander, and Nique.

There’s no better way to feel pampered than by visiting the different health and beauty stores. Start with makeup from Blush Cosmetics before getting a fancy pedicure at Sparkling Nails and a relaxing massage at Serenity Beauty & Massage.

World Square features an array of stores to keep up with your entertainment and travel needs. These include EB Games for the latest games, JB Hi-Fi for all entertainment and Flight Centre to make travel arrangements. Dixon Travel is also worth checking out.

A trip to World Square is incomplete without checking out the different restaurants. Enjoy burgers at Burger Project or opt for fast food from Nando’s. Noodles Your Way serves the best noodles, while you can get some of the best Asian cuisines from Taste of Shanghai. Check out Laughing Buddha Bar for great cocktails and a refreshing drink.

Often described as a perfect culmination of food, fashion and retail therapy, World Square is easily accessible from Town Hall and Central Stations.
