Shelly Beach stretches for about 100 metres – that is 100 metres of pristine sands and sweeping views.
Shelly Beach Manly, Restaurant, Accommodation, Parking & Snorkelling
This bay area is a perfect place to go scuba diving and snorkelling. The beach’s shallow depth makes it ideal for those looking to learn either, with excellent visibility and a great biodiversity of marine species.
For beach-goers who would instead enjoy a beach walk, Shelly Beach does not disappoint if its spectacular views are anything to go by. Take on the bush track which takes on the headland and rewards visitors with such magnificent views. Or enjoy a sunbake and wait till dusk to watch the last of the sun’s rays before it sets creating a golden splash of orange hues on the evening sky.
It is interesting to note that the beach is popular with Sydney’s Brazilian community, and this means that on a good day, visitors can get a small glimpse of the community’s culture. Beachgoers sway and dance to the pulsating music and the rhythmic drumbeats that rent the air for a truly magical experience.
Shelly Beach has some amenities that include showers, toilets and a kiosk. This beach experience is incomplete without enjoying a BBQ, so use either of the two free electric BBQs. Look out for Le Kiosk, a restaurant that serves up delicious meals. Paid parking is available at the beach too.
