Liverpool Street Gallery

The Liverpool Street Gallery is one of Sydney’s beautiful art attractions – one which gives visitors a glimpse into the city’s vibrant art culture.

The gallery was opened in 2003 and was created by Erskine. Right from the get-go, the gallery set out to showcase local contemporary work alongside international works by renowned artists.

What the gallery lacks in size, it more than makes up for with the array of rich culture and a vibrant aura. This creates an intimate setting in which art lovers can find a range of sculptures and paintings.

Enjoy an afternoon of art and thought-provoking works when you visit the different exhibitions held on location. The exhibitions are held regularly, running for a few weeks at a time. Recently, some of the most popular exhibitions held at the gallery include Art at Night that brings the gallery to life, Ryan Hoffman – Air and Sean Wadey – Igneous, among others.

One of the most notable features at the gallery is the LS2 – a project space that provides a platform for artists to showcase their works. This was a remarkable exhibition in 2016 as it featured artists from different stages in their experiences: from guest artists to established, as well as those who are just launching into the industry.

Since its opening in 2003, the gallery has grown in leaps and bounds to become a hub for art enthusiasts looking for a unique experience in East Sydney.

The Liverpool Street Gallery is home to unique works both on paper and sculpture. The gallery is open daily (except on Mondays), with opening hours from Tuesdays to Sundays being between 10am and 6pm.

Get to the gallery using Liverpool Street, with the nearby Museum Station conveniently located. This gallery makes for an unforgettable cultural experience!
