ISKCON Sydney

ISKCON Sydney, in full the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, is the Sydney Chapter of the Hare Krishna movement.

On arrival, you will be welcomed by the warm Hare Krishna community to enjoy a day well spent at the temple. The atmosphere is quiet and tranquil, perfect for contemplation and a day of reflection.

In the background, the sounds of chants fill the air. Start at the big hall as you discover more of this special place of worship. This is where the deities are kept, and it is fascinating to see how much of the hall resembles a performance stage.

There is a lot to enjoy while at the temple. Depending on the time of your visit, you may want to watch the presentations and isten to the teachings from the movement’s oldest religious books and learn a thing or two about the Hare Krishna Movement. Once the presentations are over, make your way to the festive room for song and dance.

A visit to ISKCON Sydney is incomplete without enjoying the sumptuous foods available onsite. These tasty treats are meant to nourish the body, in addition to the spiritual nourishment that visitors receive at the temple. Top this up with a warm, sweet pudding for an unforgettable experience.

The book and gift shop on site sells a variety of books on Krishna’s preaching, Indian vegetarian cookbooks, Indian dresses, and idols of the deity. Be sure to check this out as part of your visit!

The temple also offers Sunday School for kids where they get the chance to be creative by drawing and making craft items.

ISKCON Sydney is located on Falcon Street in North Sydney and is easily accessible by both public and private means.
