You can choose to take your food, or you can buy something from the scenic waterfront cafes that dot the beach. There is also a 50-metre pool for swimmers to enjoy, while toddlers can enjoy some safe fun in the toddler’s area.
If you are looking for a place to enjoy some retail therapy, then you will also feel at home at Dee Why Beach. There are close to 200 specialty shops here, which sell a range of items including clothing, footwear, beach accessories, swimwear and souvenirs.
Dee Why also hosts world-class sporting events that have catapulted this beach’s popularity on the world map. Some of these events include the Sun Run, the Beachley Classic, as well as the Ocean Thunder, among others. The yearly New Years Eve fireworks event is also held onsite and provides a spectacular lighting display at the turn of each year.
