Snow Times in the Garden is an annual winter event in the Hunter Valley Gardens in Pokolbin. It celebrates the winter season, with a range of cool activities for kids of all ages.
You can go ice skating, ride a toboggan down a 40-metre ice slide, build a snowman, or just have fun in the dedicated play zone that features jumping castles and plenty of other options to keep your kids amused.
There’s also a 9D immersive virtual reality snow experience, as well as face painting, roaming entertainers on display and live ice-sculpting demonstrations. All of these activities are included in the price of your Snow Time in the Garden entry ticket. If you want rides for the young and young at heart, there’s a carousel, ferris wheel, swing chair and giant slippery slide (12 metres high and 35 metres long) available. You can choose to pay for these individual rides, or you can buy a wristband that allows for unlimited turns.
You’ll also find eight kilometres of walking paths at the Hunter Valley Gardens venue. These paths wind through 14 hectares of beautifully manicured gardens that feature a diverse range of native and exotic trees and shrubs, as well as numerous waterfalls, statues and murals. There are ten individually-themed gardens that showcase nature at its finest.
There’s also plenty of accommodation options in the Hunter Valley if you want to extend your stay and explore this famous and picturesque wine-producing region.
