Science in the Swamp 2024 Dates, Times, Centennial Park, Sydney

Science in the Swamp is a free family event as part of National Science Week, hosted by Centennial Park & Moore Park Trust, with grant funding from the Australian Government.

Find your inner scientist through hands-on, family-friendly science experiments and displays, learn bush survival skills with Greater Sydney Parklands’ educators at the Bush Craft Village, and keep an eye out for the incredible roaming dinosaur, who returns for a prehistoric tour through the swamp!

As you visit over 25 awe-inspiring stalls, you’ll meet real-life scientists, biologists, geologists and researchers on a family day you won’t forget.

It’s free to attend, with food trucks, picnic areas and fun science activities to entertain adults and children alike!

Science in the Swamp will run rain or shine. It may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. If the event is cancelled, a message will be posted on their website and social media channels.

Dogs are welcome to join the fun. However, they ask that you always keep your dog on a leash during the event. They also ask that you always keep your pooch away from food stalls.
