White Rabbit Gallery

White Rabbit Gallery is an art museum located in Sydney, and one of the most unique attractions in the city’s art scene. The gallery’s name is inspired by the White Rabbit Collection from the 21st Century – one of the finest collections of Chinese contemporary art.

Owned by Judith Neilson, this gallery is an exceptional space for art lovers to appreciate the effort put in showcasing the different paintings and collectibles.

One of the most significant things about the gallery is its location. Its present location once served as a Rolls-Royce service depot in the mid-20th century. In the years that followed, it was converted to an exhibition space. Owing to the size of the gallery, only a part of the vast collection may be displayed at any given time.

For this reason, there are two new exhibitions held annually, and each of these features new works of art. The process of putting these exhibitions means that the gallery is closed to the public in February and August to facilitate installations.

The gallery’s exhibitions are spread across four levels, giving you access to modern works. It is impossible to ignore the creative energy and excellent quality of these works of art, and this makes it easy to appreciate the more than 500 artists who are the creators behind the installations.

Some of the artists whose works have been featured include Agi Chen, Guo Fei, Geng Xue, Huang Yan, Li Hui, Tzeng Yong-ning, as well as Unmask. The list of artists is updated regularly, so there is always something to look forward at the gallery.

A tour of the White Rabbit Gallery is incomplete without visiting the Teahouse. Whether you are meeting a friend for tea, would love to catch up with a good book or love tea, this teahouse is a relaxed place to unwind. Chinese teas and snacks are available.
