This picture-perfect family spot is ideal for a day out as there are lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you’re a fitness buff looking for an outdoor space, or would love to catch up with old friends over a cup of coffee, then Cook Park does not disappoint.

Get your heart racing with a bit of jogging, cycling or walking within the park. There is no better way to stay fit while enjoying spectacular views of the park’s surroundings. Best of all, there is an outdoor fitness station right next to Bay Street, giving you the chance to work out for free.

If getting your blood pumping is not your cup of tea, then bring a picnic and enjoy lunch in the park. Find a pleasant spot where you can spread your blanket and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. There are covered picnic tables, electric BBQs, as well as shaded areas for convenience. The kids are not left behind as there is an expansive playground with ample space for the little ones to run around. The playground features swings, slides and climbing frames.

Alternatively, enjoy a cooling dip at Lady Robinsons Beach whose numerous tidal pools are a hit during summer. As the longest beach in Sydney, you can be confident that there is room for everyone to enjoy a perfect summer day. You may also take up a seat at any of the cafes that line the Promenade and soak in the buzz of this bustling bayside community.

Amenities provided at the park include washrooms, outdoor showers, changing rooms and trash bins. Look out for bike racks along the promenade and cycling track. Parking is available on-street, and entry to Cook Park is free.
