The North Sydney Oval is a multi-purpose sporting facility located in North Sydney; best known as one of the oldest cricket pitches in the country and for this reason, has been home to hundreds of matches since its construction.
Since the first cricket pitch was designed in 1867, the grounds have undergone numerous changes to what the facility is today.

These most recent renovations saw the inclusion of quality field lighting, a portable wicket for cricket games and a host of other changes that have made the oval one of the most outstanding venues for different sports. One of the best things about these renovations is that they allow the oval to be used for both cricket and football. In addition to these two, North Sydney Oval is also a renowned venue for Rugby matches.
For cricket lovers, the New South Wales Blues team play regular matches at the oval; including the Ryobi Cup, Twenty20 and Sheffield Shield. Some of the Australian Football League clubs have also played at the oval.
Alongside the different sports, North Sydney Oval also has a function centre whose proximity to the first-class sporting venue provides excellent flexibility. The event space features an outdoor arena and grandstands in addition to the function centre. This makes it ideal for an open-air cinema, weddings, corporate events and media functions.
As one of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks, it is impossible not to enjoy attending a game or events here.
The North Sydney Oval is a 15-minute walk from the North Sydney train station.
