Sculpture in the Vineyards is a month-long annual arts and culture event held in four vineyards in the Wollombi Valley and the Wollombi Village. The vineyards are the site of over 50 eye-popping outdoor sculptures created by Australian artists, creating an unworldly landscape in nature. Aside from showcasing sculptures, the event is also a great way to sample wines and local produce.
The event features a program for children, families, art lovers, and wine connoisseurs. Attendees are encouraged to make the most out of their visit by taking one of the guided tours or participating in the artist-led workshops. More art will be on display at the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail, best explored on foot. Degustation tours will also be available on certain dates. Participating vineyards will be offering wines at their cosy cellars, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring outdoor art. Previous participating vineyards included Undercliff Winery, Stonehurts Cedar Cree, and Noyce Brothers Wines. All the outdoor sculptures will be for sale, and the exhibits will be open from 10AM to 6PM for the duration of Sculpture in the Vineyards.
For the best Sculpture in the Vineyards experience, visitors may want to spend a weekend at Wollombi Village. Some of the vineyards and estates offer elegant accommodation options, so you’re never too far from all the action.
