True Grit is a 10-12km obstacle course over natural terrain that is both challenging and fun for participants.
Held all around Australia, True Grit will once again arrive in Sydney and will deliver a unique and challenging experience for those looking to push their physical and mental strength to its limit!
True Grit welcomes participants aged 16 years and above to take part. The course will include over 30 challenging obstacles over a lengthy distance and should take between 1.5-2.5 hours to complete. Teams should consist of at least 2 people so that you can assist each other over obstacles. Comfortable or baggy clothing should be worn to ensure that you can successfully traverse the physically challenging obstacles.
Make sure to register online, and you can then pick up your participant wrist band on the day. Participants should arrive at least 1 hour prior to their race start time to ensure there is sufficient time to drop off their belongings and get ready to race.
Facilities at True Grit will include a male and female change tent, food and drinks available for purchase on site, toilets at the start, finish and half way point of the course, a bag drop as well as live entertainment at the conclusion of the event.
Training courses are offered in the lead up to the True Grit event, but participants of all sizes and abilities are encouraged to take part. Some participants choose to walk the course, and you are certainly able to pass on obstacles that you are unable to complete. Participants should be able to swim at least 20 metres and have at least average fitness.
The event will run rain, hail or shine, so make sure to bring a change of clothes. There will be hoses available for use to wash down after the event. You are able to bring along a go-pro or similar device to the course and water will be provided along the course.
