The Tea Market features dozens of stallholders, tea brands and specialty loose leaf tea of all types and tastes. Food stalls are also on offer that sell a variety of sweet delicacies and substantial savoury options to complement the tea available. There is also a fabulous range of handmade ceramic homewares and teaware – the perfect way to present your tea. The festival also has a Brew Lounge set up for visitors to sit and enjoy a cup of tea.
A range of tea workshops are also scheduled, so visitors can learn more about the tea they love to enjoy. There are education tastings, demonstrations and hands-on sessions. For the tastings, each visitor is also presented with a cup to use throughout the day to minimise waste – with the cup included in the entry fee.
Want to know more about the history of tea? Then come down to one of the tea talks. During these talks the educated presenters will describe how tea is made, the different varieties and will provide key tips on how to enjoy tea.
For those who wish to advance their tea knowledge, the DIY blending station is the place to be. Here, visitors can experiment with making their own custom tea from a range of teas and spices.
