Sunrise on the Steps is a unique way to experience the iconic Sydney Opera House. Come and start your day with morning 60-minute yoga sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays as you enjoy the views of the Sydney Harbour and the Botanic Gardens. Circuit training classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The event lasts for 10 weeks; sponsored by Samsung and led by Crawf Weir, founder of Barefoot Yoga. Other instructors include Janis Blums and Adam Trama. The yoga classes are ideal for any fitness level, whether you’ve tried never done yoga or are a seasoned yogi. The minimum age to participate is 18 years old, and all attendees are required to sign a waiver. The classes take place outside the landmark, at the Upper Podium of the Monumental Steps.
If you’re taking a car to Sunrise on the Steps, parking is available at the Sydney Opera House Car Wilson Park from $10. They will be offering circuit training on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well. The cost for each class is $25; all classes begin at 7AM. Participants also get a chance to win a waterproof Samsung Gear Sport.
