Sculpture at Scenic World is an event spread across five weekends in April/May each year. Local, national and international artists exhibit their work over a 2.4-kilometre rainforest walkway at Scenic World in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains. These artists create an outdoor gallery that everyone can enjoy.
You’ll find subtle pieces of art that blend seamlessly into the natural environment, as well as bolder items that provide a stark contrast. There’s bound to be something that suits your taste. You’ll also get a chance to vote in the ‘People’s Choice Award’, which is one of a number of cash prize awards that are presented to winning artists at the end of the event. The exhibiting artists also run free workshops that include activities and demonstrations of how to create works of art. These workshops are suitable for all ages, so they can be a great family activity. You can also take advantage of guided tours that are provided by knowledgeable exhibition staff.
Sculpture at Scenic World tickets include unlimited travel on the Scenic Railway, which is the world’s steepest passenger train that enables you to access the Scenic Walkway and view the range of art exhibits. The tickets also include access to the Scenic Cableway, which allows you to soak up even more of the stunning surrounds with the 360-degree aerial view it provides. You can also buy weekend packages that include a range of accommodation and meal options.
