The Mudgee Wine and Food Festival is an event held every during September / October, running for close to a month and is one of the longest-running wine and food events in New South Wales.
It is well-attended by food producers and wineries in the Mudgee Region – one of Australia’s top wine-producing regions.

The festival’s key events include the Twilight Tasting, Go Tasting AREC Main Pavilion, Meet the Maker, Wednesday Wine Trivia, Flavours of Mudgee, and Go Grazing, which are held on specific dates during the month. There will be several tastings, tours, lunches, dinners, and live music to be enjoyed by all throughout the event. All participating wineries will curate unique experiences and offerings as well.
Attendees should take note that no alcohol from outside may be taken into or consumed within the event premises. All the wine for sale is only for consumption at home as it is prohibited to open bottles during the festival. However, the event license allows for the consumption of beverages in designated souvenir glasses which may be purchased at the ticket stands, and consumption is only allowed at the designated event area. The last call for drinks will be at 4:45PM and last glass sales at 4:15PM. To comply with Food Health Safety guidelines, the Mosman Council prohibits dogs within the festival area.
The Mudgee Wine and Food Festival takes place in various locations around Mudgee, so be sure to check the event map. There will be a free shuttle bus available for attendees from 11am to 5pm.
Mudgee is located 268km northwest of Sydney, which translates to around 3.5 hours via the Great Western Highway.
