The park’s name is thought to have been inspired by its original inhabitants, the traditional Guringai community. A closer look at the park’s historical sites reveals the vibrant art and heritage of traditional communities across more than 800 locations in the park.
Some of the attractions include intricate patterns in the cave art and the thought-provoking rock paintings. If this sounds fascinating, make your way to the Kalkari Discovery Centre. Here, you will find displays of Aboriginal culture alongside some of Australia’s unique fauna. In addition to this, you can take a self-guided walk that is perfect for nature lovers.
